Overview
Installation of custom-made stage side wings, also known as flippers or side curtains, designed to effectively mask off-stage areas while providing strategic access points for performers. These stage leg curtains are placed along each side of the stage to conceal the stage sides from the audience’s view and facilitate seamless performer entrances and exits from wing space to the main stage.
Specifications:
- Design: Custom-made 360-degree revolving stage side wings (flippers) with specialized legs that conceal off-stage areas and create access points between sets for performers. The positioning and size of these curtains will be determined by stage sightlines to ensure optimal coverage and side masking.
- Construction: Stage legs will be constructed of Mild Steel Rectangular Hollow Section Steel Pipes (50 x 25 mm) mounted on a pivoted rotatable bar. The legs will be fixed with 6mm thick commercial plywood on both sides and overlapped with 6mm Ethylene-vinyl acetate (EVA) foam for enhanced durability.
- Mounting: The framework features a rotatable assembly on roller-mounted MS barrel swing hinges, supported from the grid structure and concealed floor mount arrangement with fasteners on stage. This allows for 360-degree free rotation to adjust the wings as required.
- Material: Side wings crafted from 100% heavy polyester Molfino fabric (450 GSM) to enhance acoustical properties, provide a reflective look, and offer luxurious fullness.
- Installation: The installation will be carried out as per architectural drawings under the supervision of the Engineer-in-Charge (EIC). It will involve all necessary tools, machinery, manpower, staging, and consumables, including mild steel rail tracks for smooth operation.

- Framework: Designed to be fitted and concealed below stage floorings and supported from the ceiling, emphasizing the stage as the main attraction.

- Durability: Recommended lining to protect the face fabric, adding years of life to the curtain and aiding with opacity.

- Ladder Type Mild Steel (MS) Framework: Designed to ensure proper weight distribution as part of our safety measures. The cost will be charged extra on a per kilogram (KG) basis, depending on site conditions and material weight.
- Final Pricing: Determined after a thorough assessment of site requirements and the overall weight required to construct the framework.
- Accommodation: Accommodation for our installation team, either on-site or nearby, will be under your scope to ensure smooth operations and minimize delays during the project.
- Scaffolding: Scaffolding and other necessary support structures required for the safe and effective execution of the work will be within your responsibility.
- Execution Coordination: By coordinating these aspects in advance, we can ensure seamless execution and timely completion of the project.
